Voila... Neptune Blue. I seem to think there is some green to this but my girlfriend disagrees - she thinks it just blue.

In case you're wondering, I live in Hong Kong.

Cheers,

Ed
This picture, in post number 4, is a very accurate representation of Neptune Blue. There is one in my local UK BMW showroom and it looks very much like this. To my eyes it is very blue with no hint of green to it at all.

I love it and if I decide to get another E60, this will be the colour me. Unfortunately though it cannot be had with the Sport pack ie. only with the SE version.

It's definitely an interesting and unique color--probably fairly easy to keep clean as well. Could just be my monitor, but I don't see the green either. It looks a bit more like steel blue or a light gunmetal gray. Very sharp.

Steel blue would be a good description. It's one of those colours that you won't see that often as most E60 drivers seem to go for the multitude of greys, silver or black - well certainly in the UK anyway. I like to have something a little more unusual which is why I plumped for the Olivin Green (one of those love it or hate it colours).

This picture looks like it was shot under flourecent lighting, which is have in the colors of blue and green and lacks red, thus will have more of a green cast than what would be seen in daylight.

Our eyes are a lot smarter and accurate than cameras.
Sorry about the pic. Just got the car and I took it with my phone on the whim. I'll post a better pic over the weekend.

Cheers,

Ed

OK, how's this... in daylight and I even managed to give it a wash this time. I see a tinge of green in there.

And yes, I really should get that suspension lowered cause it's sitting like an SUV.

Cheers all,

Ed

Wow, looks significantly different in natural light. Reminds me a bit of what Porsche used to refer to as Petrol Blue. Enjoy!

Nice color ! But are you sure this is really Neptune Blue ?

I heared here in Europe BMW will start the production of cars with this color in March. My dealer in Belgium tells me there is no Neptune Blue yet.
Furthermore, the color sample of thge dealer is more greyish/bleuish/greenish... Not pure light blue as the one on the pictures.

Would anyone please confirm, or send additional pics ?

I have to confirm my new E60-525 this week. Thinking about Neptune Blue, baut I am a bit scared to do that without haven't seen one in real life.

Thanks or your help.

David
