Thanks for the feedback; I'd like to get Silver but it is way too popular for me, I like to be a bit different. I rarely see Blue or grey and while I do not garage at night, I do during the day. I've got black now and while its a pain, not that bad. Wash once a week which helps, wax twice a year.
Interesting. Here in the Bay Area all I see is all the gray variants. I went with TiAg because it was less popular, a color that I liked and had on my 3-Series, looks nice and bright even in the rain, and most importantly, hides the dirt real well.
Good Luck with your choice. It's exciting enough that you're getting a 550i!

I personally like the Silver Gray Metallic over the Titanium. Initially I was going with the Titanium Gray, but then I saw all three grays together. Titanium Gray, Silver Gray and the Titanium Silver. My obvious winner was the Silver Gray. On cloudy days it has a different shade, and on sunny days, it almost seems sky blue. Very cool color.
Me too. I walked into the dealer for a Titanium gray, but I had hard time deciding which gray to pick. My sales put all 3 gray together for me to pick, and Silver Gray looks the best. Titanium turn greenish sometimes.
Blue looks better on smaller car like 3 series, but I recommend Gray on e60.
Black looks super nice on e60 if don't mind washing and waxing all the time.

Yes, it looks a bit green in this photo, but seldom looks at all green in person. It looks VERY grey when it is not in direct sunlight. It is black interior. I was contemplating black exterior, but am extremely happy with the ti gray.
Oh, and I use only Rejex to keep it protected. (I also have a clear bra on the entire front end as well as the rear bumper)

It might just be where you live, because the only E60's that I see around here are grey/silver varients and black. I chose blue (my previose car was a titaneum grey E39 540), partially becaause it is very rare around here. Since I'v received mine I couldn't be happier with the color.
Good luck with your choice, both are a fine color.

I need your pictures and opinions. Please post for me before I throw down $62,000.
You're in the same place I was a year ago - had decided on all the options and the color combo was the last hurdle. I loved the dark colors - black, blue, but something didn't look right with these colors. Then I saw two E60s - one behind the other, one was black and the other silver. Then it hit me - the dark colors do not show contrast so they are "one entity". They both had the Sports Package (SP) so the "chrome" was black, and since I was getting the SP as well, I decided right there to NOT get a dark color. The contrast with a lighter color gives the car "lenght" - you can see definition with the windows, wheels, etc, but with the dark colors everything blends together.
I don't want to bore you with the rest - so I'll tell you I opted for the Mystic Blue with the Auburn interior. I think it's absolutely the best combination - but then again, you'll get that from everyone else about their own color choices.
My advise? Keep doing what you're doing - ask for pictures, visit the dealerships and try to see the color combinations in person. Pay attention on the road and don't be shy about asking owners on the street about their feelings. Don't depend on the Car Builder on line. SEE the cars in person.
Look at these.
Enjoy your choice
