I hope this means you have decided to keep your E60 and will be sticking around here...weren't you thinking about selling it?

Thats a pretty nice install, i was considering doing that to my car with a touchscreen 7". The problem is its to low it will be risky driving with it.
How is the sun glare?? i think some company sells a lint which goes over your screen so the sun blare would not be all that much..
I don't know if you considered it but how about using velcro and puting the sreen on your vents? i know it does not look stock but it be on your line of site plus you can always take it off just in case of something.

I'd keep it where you have it now. It's a sweet mod if you can get it working.

thanks for all the feedback. This screen has the a touchscreen feature also the glare is not bad at all. I think what i am going to attempt is to move the idrive screen on the bottom and the other one on top. You dont really need to look at the idrive everything is pretty much done by memory.
Maybe the screen could be angled up slightly to give a better view angle.
Also, instead of molding it in permanently, you could use velcro to hold it in and so it can be pulled out and placed wherever the passenger wants it.

I think its a good idea to move the i-drive screen but you going to have to totally remodel the front dash in order to fit you 7" there. Another good idea would be to use a spring(snake) to put it under the front passanger foot rest. You can retracted and when not in use put it under the dash. I seen a lot of installs done (mp3car.com) and to me puting the screen so low is not convinent when your driving.

I think you have done one heck of a job just to figure out how to install, do the wiring, and put the player in there. If you can get through that the rest is just cosmetics.
