I just got my carbon fiber hood and Trunk done

if your E60 owner when you press button for openning the trunk

it will auto matically open but

carbon Trunk is too lighter then original part!!

after i install carbon trunk, When i press button carbon trunk is about to fly away lol :o

so i decide to take out the spring in side the trunk .

now i need to have old golf club to told trunk when i load something.

do you knwo anyone can fix this problem?

is there place to buy lighter spring or air shock?

I have the same problem. Just put the old one back on and when you open the trunk just guide it up and don't let it get out of control. After a few weeks you will get over it.

You can make it work. It took Trinity's body shop 30 mins but came out nice.

I need Better solution anyone? :(

I may not fully grasp your fitment problem. But a simple solution to the "carbon being too light" is to add lead weights to the underside of the lid until you have achieved the correct opening speed.

I took my spring of and had no problems after.

Hmm this is pretty straightfoward.. if it its too light, add weights and make it heavier.

replace the spring with some bungee cords??

or heat up the original spring and stretch it a little.
