My Ride: 2005 545i Sapphire Black
Just bought an '05 545 in March and I love it. If you are going to look for a 6spd I would recommend the sport package as well. Nice to have the better handling to go with the power of the V8. Mileage is not bad. I average right around 19-22mpg depending on my city/hwy mix.
I bought mine without the CPO (kind of risky), but it saves quite a bit of money on the purchase price. I also have access to all BMW parts at wholesale cost though.
