Welcome aboard, dr2be!
So far there is no information regarding M package in the US. I guess they'll release it next fall. Check with your dealer to see what they'll say.

LOL!! I am most certain of 2 things:
![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
1) The ///M Sports Package will NOT be available next year
![Unsure](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/unsure.gif)
2) Your friendly neighborhood local BMW Dealer will not have the slightest clue what you?re talking about.

Unfortunately Beewang is probably correct. The M sports pacakge is usually avail. in the USA only after a few years after new model introduction. Many aftermarket firms have bodywork add ons that might interest you. Good Luck!

I just ordered a 2005 BMW 545 and the M package was not available. I was able to get a great deal because I had invoice price information and told my dealer I was looking at the Audi A6, which is worrying BMW brass. They gave me the price I had asked for without any hassle.
This contrasts to my experience when I got my 2002 530. At that time the car was very popular and considered the finest "car on the planet." It was when Consumer Reports rated it the highest car it had ever tested. I got almost no discount on the car.
The M package will be used to increase sales. I think if sales of the 5 series do not increase or they lose ground to the A6 and STS, I think the package will be available in late 2005, or else look to 2006.
Also, there aren't a lot of M5's on the streets yet. I don't think BMW wants a lot of lesser 5 series competing with their marquee in the looks department at this stage.
