I need some help, its a friday here and all the dealerships are closed.
I have a 2004 545i, this morning I start the car and all the lights come on that are on the tach. ABS,air bag, dtc, etc. When I drive, the speedo, rpm, and fuel don't move what so ever. When I shut off the car all the lights stay on including the back light when you turn on your headlights.

I was afraid my battery was going to die so I disconnected it but that did nothing. Everything still stayed on and now I have no idea what to do.
My Idrive status is also a blank screen.

Any help would be apppreciated, thank you.

It seems your ECU is fried...... Better go the dealer. http://bavaria.bmw.ca (That is in Edmonton)

Bavaria is much better than the ones from Calgary.... From here they suck!

Good Luck

Well I did the battery thing and nothing worked.
So I went to take out the fuse so my cluster wouldn't burn out. I put the fuse back in and now everything is fine. I still don't think the problem was the fuse so next time this happens, I'll swing by the dealer.

Good news.

Hopefully it was just one of those computer blips and everything will be fine for years to come.
