hey watsup first off i have to say this forum is amazing and im seriously thinking about buying a 545i. But coming from a big truck (ford expedtion) and being used to beign up high and alot of leg room, im a little concerned as to if the bmw will be cmfortable for me, since it is low to ground and a sedan. what do you guys think?

welcome. there is much leg room in the e60 n my opinion, but not that kind found in an suv from a higher position. its a great car though. just a suggestion, how about an X5? nonetheless, enjoy the forums.

I went from a Yukon XL to my 545. While the lower ride of the 545 took a little getting used too, leg room was not an issue. I'm 6'3" and still had no problems... The performance was well worth it!

Winter I drive a Lexus RX330, the other three seasons it's my 545i. The E60 5 series is huge inside for a sedan in this day and age. Not as big as an expedition but not small or cramped in any way. Big trunk as well. The Lexus is great when the snow is deep and I need to get up hills and driveways but the rest of the year you couldn't pay me to drive the Lexus. It's slow, 545i is fast, it's ponderous, 545i is agile, Lexus gets worse mileage. My 545i has the sport pkg and is AWSOME to drive, highways, back roads it just eats up miles in supreme comfort.

If you have never had a BMW before you are in for a hell of a surprise...

You couldn't be making a bigger vehicle change.

You are going to love the change. I went from a Ford Explorer to an E60. Its like going from a 1/2 pound burger to a fine cut of kobe beef. You just cannot compare. ENJOY!

The 5 series has an abundance of head and leg room as compared to other vehicles of comparable size and weight. I test drove them all, and none came close in terms of cabin space. I am 6' tall, and my head was against the headliner in the Lexus G350, the Infiniti M35, Maxima, and some others. Enjoy the 545i...tons of space!

You won't regret it!

my first car was a 2001 lexus is300 then went to a 2004 tahoe z71 and then i got my 2004 545i. best vehicle i have had so far. when i had the z71 i missed being low to the ground. also the speed and handling. you wont regret it. try to find an SMG if you can.

You will not regret an E60. I know what you mean as I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. I just got the 545i and love every aspect of it. I am 6'1" and have no issues with head room or leg room. Go for it! Good Luck! Welcome to the Forums.
