Default Need help with clutch master cylinder on 2004 545i

2004 545i 6 speed. Would very much appreciate help with clutch master replacement. Master is held in place by two plastic pins. Bentley's instruction is to "use screwdriver to remove locking clip (A)", accompanied by a horrible photo. After that phantom locking clip is removed, the pins are to be pried out. I cannot see any sort of locking clip that would relate to those two mounting pins, and I can't make sense of the photo. I also can't pry the pins out. Has anyone replaced the master in an e60 that could help me? Thanks!

Have a look at the attached PDF.

Also, if you don't know already, the brake fluid reservoir is both the reservoir for the brakes and the clutch. The level of the fluid must be high up or it won't fall over the internal partition inside the reservoir and make it into the clutch side. I found this out the hard way one day when I flushed the clutch brake fluid. I'm guessing this internal partition is to allow the brakes to have fluid should there be a break in the clutch side lines.

That picture is so much clearer than what I have. I think I finally understand. I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Thanks so much!
And you're right about the reservoir. When I removed the clutch supply line from the reservoir I saw how little fluid came out, and how full the reservoir still was when nothing was flowing out the clutch side. I could see fluid well up the neck of the reservoir with nothing coming out the clutch side so the "max" marking on the reservoir wall is neither helpful nor accurate it seems.
