These are straight forward installs. I didn't even know you could install it incorrectly. Was it taken apart and not put back together correctly? I can't see it being a wiring issue either. I have never had an issue with an SZL and I have taken them completely apart and solder bad connections. Something is not right. I would recommend not using ISTA with a used module and use INPA/WINKFP/NCSEXPERT to complete install. I have never used ISTA for a used SZL. If you need assistance I can remote using Teamviewer and complete the steps needed. The only thing I can think of is your timing is off and ISTA sees it as incorrectly installed. You can't calibrate it without syncing the time as the modules are not talking in sync

Hi Sean, yeah that's what's bugging me, there's no way really to install it wrong, and I have quadruple checked and taken it off and on so many times now.

I tried tool32 to reset the system time for szl_60 but I don't see the option to reset the time under options.

Does my car being a 07 have anything different to do with it?

That would be amazing if you could, can you pm me so we can figure out a time?

I am sure it's installed correctly unless your luck landed you another bad SZL

Yeah that's the issue, most posts I found with similar ista error was when they had a plug not fully in or something. Both of mine (wide black one and the smaller yellow) are all in fully tight, all pins good.

I've checked the wiring under the steering wheel and it visually looks good.

Not really good at reading wiring diagrams either, I'm thinking its some sort of wiring fault.

Go into INPA and see if it can read the SZL parameters. If not then your issue is bigger than a module.

Would this be the parameters? Or is it in another section?

No it's in the DSC section but I do see the steering way off unless you had it turned all the way to the left

Yeah it's stuck on that reading and doesn't move. I do have two front wheel speed sensor codes I'm going to try changing those first to see if that has something to do with why the SAS is not calibrating. Also I got a 3rd SZL to try out.

Will update.

The speed sensors are a separate issue hopefully solved when the DSC is corrected doing the SZL calibration. I can't see all sensors having an issue at the same time. It will not correct the SZL. I would put the third one on. Are you installing when the wheels are straight? If the next SZL does not act correctly then something else is wrong

Okay I see, and yes the wheels are always straight and I get the arrows lined up on the SAS before clipping the clock-spring on as well. Is there anything else I need to align when installing it?
