I am going to replace my lower oil pan on my n62 engine as this is the only place right now I have oil leak. It leaks from drain plug and from gasket itself. Obviously I need to transfer The oil level sendor to the new pan but I see that the realOEM says "Before replacing the oil level sensor always note PuMA measure 29604954!" What that means? I will install it the same as it is on the old pan but does it needs something else? I have bantly manual but there are very little information about V8 and nothing removing oil pan. Can you tell me also the torgue spec for lower oil pan bolts? Or Is there any DIY for oil pan somewhere for this engine?
Thx

Thank

The message simply means be sure the sensor is actually faulty before you incur the expense of replacing it. It's a message for mechanical repairs based on oil level complaints. Not sure about torque specs and such.

What advancedlogic said. It looks to me that there were too many repairs of replacing the oil level sensor and the Puma bulletin was to stop that and ensure a real failure by doing more diagnostics before just replacing the oil level sensor. Bottom line, you can take it out of your old setup and put in your new setup. Only possible issue could be the gasket for the gasket for the oil level sensor. Be sure and get that out in one piece. It looks like you can get a new gasket individually - you might want to do that.

Thank guy, now I got it. Definitely I'll get new gasket for sensor as well as oil pan bolts.
Any idea how I can obtain the torque specs for those bolts?
Thanks again appreciate your help
