My Ride: Bmw 530d 2004
I tried checking those instructions and I noticed it "jumps" to E64 folder, but one would think that doesn't matter. There's also an E36 in pics so the procedure must be the same with numerous models .

Follow these instructions to open the "hidden" menu. The engine coolant temp can be monitored in folder 07.00. It's not mentioned in the instructions, but the menu can be accessed also when the engine is running (at least I can).

Sry that last post was in regards to linking to the E34 - I still need the 'how to find engine temp' help :-)

Ummm, sorry I'm not fully following you now.
So you need to see engine temps in your E60, or E34? The "hidden menu" link that I posted above tells the way to see engine temps in E60.
Must be the language barrier....
