good point gomac, I thougt PDC was standard on 2005 545s. Maybe the dealer is trying to get rid of a MY04. Ch7656, the car they are replacing is a 2005 isn't it? Are both the cars they are offering 2005's?

gomac,

I think he's choosing between two cars on the lot.? One has Nav/HUD and one has L7/PDC...

Thank you but shouldn't the other one have the PD too? So, it is really a choice between Nav/HUD and L7.

It is a little late in the afternoon over here maybe I am slowing down in the synapses!

Maybe they're 2004 cars?

Now that would makes sense. See, it is late and the synapses are firing slowly. Almost time to eat dinner! Thanks Rudy!

If it were me I would go for the Nav combo. Here in Germany (and surrounding countries it will come in handy) The PDC can be added later (as a dealer accessory) correct?

It would be a no brainer for me to go for the NAV and HUD. L7, while nice, would be better featured in the den, IMO.

If I had to choose, I would get the NAV over the L7. PDC is nice, but not a deal breaker for me. L7 is great, but the standard system plays music also, maybe not concert sounding, but it will play music. NAV is the only option you mentions which is very specific to a task and can not be compared to another systems available from BMW.

IMO go NAV

Whatever you decide, keep in mind that adding PDC later is not the same as the factory PDC. I think the add-on one only puts sensors in the rear and does not offer the graphical display on the iDrive screen.

In my opinion, it's not worth adding it at all.

CH7656, If this is gonna be your 3rd E60, then your should already know what options you want. From your info, I assume you never had L7, Nav,PDC, nor HUD right? If you didn't have L7, they you already said that you won't miss it, then go for Nav and Hud. You'll also have voice recognition (expanded version) with Nav.
