Need advice fast - Potential new 530i M Sport Owner

All the E60 5 series in the US that have NAV option have a bigger screen and there is a second DVD slot in the dash (which in this picture is just a storage compartment). I really am not sure about Australian options, maybe someone else can chime in. Next time when you go and see the car again, you should be easily able to tell from the I-drive main menu, if it has NAV, you would see Navigation listed in there.

That will have the M54 engine which is well proven and reliable(231bhp). It was replaced a few months after with the N52 which is the one that has the lifter problems and the higher power output. The nav will be business nav which uses a the smaller 5" screen rather than Pro navs 8" one. There should be no real problems with the car just wear and tear items such as suspension but they should start to show until nearly double that mileage.
If it was me I would want a car with the media package which was the better nav, bluetooth hands free etc. Unless the car is a bargain it might be worth looking for a better spec or at least compare a car with the better nav etc to see if you will regret not getting it.

Thanks for all the advice guys.
I don't think my wife would be too fussed if it has pro nav or business nav. Any Nav will do
If I get it, I would put the BSW speakers in it. BMW dont have very good stereo systems.

You might want to check if the car comes with the Hi-Fi option(standard in the USA but an option in Europe). The Hi-Fi adds an external amp by the rear l/h wheel arche and subs under the drivers seats, the basic option in europe is wired different and powered of the dash head unit, the under seat speakers are wired to the door speakers so produce full range sound and there arent even tweeters fitted in the car. The Hi-Fi option is a much better base to start with if your upgrading speakers and amps as the wirings all in place and theres a place to upgrade the amp.

OK guys, the dealer brought the car around to my office this morning, and I thoroughly inspected it.
The car is immaculate, and is in as new condition for a 2005 model. Very solid, very refined, and a pleasure to drive. Goes very hard when you plant your foot, and I was pleasantly surprised at just how well these 3.0L 6cyl engines pull. Loved the growling sound too
I will be booking it in for a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection with the local BMW Service Center to make sure it all checks out OK.
I also confirm that the car has the Business SatNav system, 6 disc CD stacker in the glove box, carbon-fibre look trimming which looks very slick. Paint was immaculate, and the leather seats looked like they've hardly been sat in.
Fingers crossed the PPI goes well
