Im looking to purchase a 2004 525i with 85,000 miles on it. It has sport and premium package. Its black with black leather interior. The guy is asking $15,500 for it, is that a decent price? Also, he has kept all his service/inspections invoices and has gotten everything taken care of at the local BMW dealership.
Also, what kind of problems could I expect down the road when purchasing this car?

The transmission and differential fluid needs to be replaced at that mileage, make sure the sparks are replaced, and that every fluid in that car has been replaced. Ask to have the car up on a lift so you can inspect the underside for leaks and things like that.

 

Bluetooth and Ipod connectivity, door seals creaking, slow acceleration, struts,plugs, belts and fluids may need a change. Buy something else for 15K! Get something newer and lease it!
