My car was delivered on July 23rd with supposedly the most current software version. My navigation system works well. However it skips words. For example:

"At the next turn right."

I think it should say, "At the next STREET turn right."

Anyone with navigation have a similar issue?

Heard that before. Somebody else posted similar problems a while ago.

The nav does that intentionally because there are too many different type of 'streets' to turn onto. It could be street, or alley, or exit, or entrance, or other kind of name and then it would all have to be programmed into the system. So the way they did it, it allows them some options to allow all kinds of turns without overburdening the data with these names. It sounds funny at first, but then you get used to it.

I got no problems with NAV lady. She even moved me to the right lane right before the ladder flew yesterday.

I do wonder why sometimes the display says "No Guidance Available" when enroute to a destination and the map shows a street and the icon for my location which is moving on the map. NAV lady either knows where I am or thinks she does but gives me the silent treatment. Hormonal?

I thought the missing word was "turn" as in "Take the next on the right".

The E39 always said it properly (inserting "turn" into the above sentence properly) so I'm guessing it'll be fixed one of these days.

Maybe this lady needs to call someone at BMW and say "TURN" a few times into a tape recorder:

With all due respect...that is one of the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard.

And I've heard a lot of ridiculous things on the internet!

It makes some sense only if your initial post was accurate...

Just took delivery of my 530I recently. My Nav does the same thing. It sounds like a word his missing. It is kind of irritating, but I can still follow the gist of what is being said.

I guess you are correct. I misquoted the error. I don't remember exactly what is missing but something is definitely missing and hopefully will get fixed with the next software revision.

I fixed the picture of the NAV lady to accurately depict the correct navigation command as given in my BMW 530i:
