For many "older" BMW's a major navigation firmeware revision was released.

Read about details here:

See some screen captures here:

I have upgraded our Mini with this upgrade and I must see it is awesome; no birdview but much better grapics and icons than in my E61.

What can be expected for the E60/E61 ?

TIA

I really like the way that you can upgrade your own Nav system on other BMWs. With the E60 is is much more complex and you have to have this done at the dealers.

True, I think it kinda sucks too.. I loved upgrading my own car by burning a CD from the internet... Made me feel very good and made the dealer confused when I brought in my car for repairs hehehe

There were times that I had a newer version in my car then they could upload themselves..

I would love to have some better grapics in our E60.. The Prof. NAV system in the E60 isn't that good..

Our old Volvo V70 (2001) with org. NAV was better, with waypoints (I really miss waypoints!!!)

Take a look in the new A6, and feel the diffence between the E60 prof nav and the A6 nav... The navi in the A6 rocks! VERY good grapics

But the MMI systems sucks

A6:

Navigation firmware V 26-2030828.001.mini1m.jpg

I hope that BMW will make a software upgrade on the prof nav, so the grapics will be better, and that BMW will ad waypoints
