I have a 3/2006 build of the 2007 530i, with Navigation. How do I figure out what version of Navigation I have, and can anybody when the version 2007.2 came out? It's $199 on Navteq, and I need to figure out if it's worth it.

Your version should be printed right on the DVD itself...

I'm assuming that you are talking about the version of the nav data. As Rudy indicated, that should be noted on your nav DVD itself. Versions are updated by BMW twice a year like so:

0X-1 released 1st November 200X
0X-2 released 1st May 200X

The most current version circulating now is 2007-02.

Okay - so I checked and I have a 2005-2 version in a 2007 car delivered on 4/2006. Do I have any chance with my dealer in getting a replacement?

My car was delivered then too. My e60 came with 06-1, missing the May 2006 release of 06-2 by a couple of weeks.

Seems like you've been "stitched up".

But it's going back so long I don't know what reaction you'd get and what version they could or would offer you.
