How can I display the map and the current car position without having any planned route entered? I just want the navigation to show the road ahead and any junctions/roundabouts etc.
Can this be done?
Thanks for your input.

If you want to cancel a planned route, use the icons on the left and click on the one which has a dot and arrow. IIRC it's the second one down from the top.

I don't know if it is just me, but I find the navigation not to be very user friendly and lacking features. Anyone share that view? You would expect for what it costs for it to be a lot better. A lot of the hands free versions (TomTom) are much better.

Thanks ABC. I will try it. I knew it would be as easy as ABC (Just kidding).

One wonders why BMW doesn't just license the Garmin (or other) system.

yes we would. i'd like to see the rest stops without tricking the system. and mile markers would be handy. garmin has these as the std display.
