Can someone tell me how to get the Navi to display gas stations,or for that matter all icons on the nav map.Im taking a trip to Miami for thanksgiving, unfortunately I've been spoiled with the O5 RL NAVI(last car).Id like to be able to see restaurants and gas stations along the trip.

Thanks in advance.

Just bumping up your post to the top. I'd love to know the answer to this one as well!

Oh, and it's always good to see a fellow Quaker on the board. I graduated from Penn in 1993.

Well it's not going to do everything you want but it'll come close...

First of all, unlike the Japanese cars, you can only display one category of icon for a particular point of interest (POI) at any given time.

Here's how it's done (from memory so please forgive me if I'm not very precise.):

While navigating to a destination, go to new destination but then scroll over to the "information" menu. From there, you can choose information on destination or information on current location. This "information" is where the POI stuff is accessed.

Once you select one of the POI categories, say "Gas Stations," aside from bringing up a list of the nearest gas stations, it will automatically activate the gas station icons on the map. Like the Japanese cars, the icons only show up when the zoom level is not too far back. I can't remember the exact zoom scale that causes the icons to show -- somewhere near the 1 mile or 1/4 mile range rings a bell.

I hope that's enough detail and I hope that makes sense...
