When I am programing the address into the Nav system by voice entry, I get stuck on the house number and it never seems to accept the voice entry properly. For example, if I try to enter 5432 as a house number, it does not take the entry if I say:

Five thousand four hundred thirty two
or
five, four, three, two
or
five and four and three and two
et cetera.

What am I doing wrong???

I have found it works fine if you say individual numerals.

Individual numbers ... I have done the voice for NAV addresses but I'm still memorizing the voice prompts - some are a bit funky.

Thanx guys - do I pause for a prompt between numbers or do I just rattle off the numbers with clarity in a single string?

I've found that saying the numbers at a normal rate of speed, as if you were leaving a message for someone on the telephone is the right way to do it.

This is actually quite important - the system does not expect numbers at a very slow rate. Speaking the numbers like that will cause errors in entry.

I didn't even know you could enter an address by voice! I've tried it, but the system ignores me. I wrote it off as not being capable of voice entry for navigation...

And, yes, I !

Yes you may program the nav by voice. Press the voice command button once and wait for the beep. Command string is:
Navigation
New destination
Enter address (system responds with "what part of the address would you like to enter?"
State
City
Street
House Number (this is where I was hanging up)
Start
