Hi,
I am just investigated why my bimmer with nav. pro. won't speak "dutch"
Every car after 3-2005 does speak the "dutch" language with the navigation
My car is from 11-2004 and the navigation (pro) seems technical the same.
So it must be possible.
CIP seems to refuse to update in dutch because it can detect the manufactor date.
Is there a way to ignore this ?
Is there a other way ?
Thanks in advance,
Beano

Helaas, ook die konden niet helpen. Bedankt ieder geval.
Is there a way to fake the manufactor code ?
Are there Guy's from BMW reading this forum and are able to change this in the next CIP.
Thousands of BMW drivers in Holland and Belgium will be thankfull.

My dealer even tried to fix this problem by fitting the latest CCC model and than doing some software updates. iDrive menu came up in dutch but voice was still in english or german. Voice recognition was still only english. After having software update 19.X, my Motorola pro mobile phone got dutch menu's though.
I am also very interested how this can be solved by third parties

There's also another unofficial solution; hiring an interpreter to sit in the back seat. ![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)
