I heard from my dealer that there is no need to upgrade the nav disc with all of the maps, as it will "download updates from somewhere automatically". Is this true? I thought that we were stuck with having to buy new nav discs every year or so...

The drives are DVD-writers and the new information is passed from the GPS satellites. However, there's a bug in the current version of iDrive software that will be fixed in v84.2 Expected March 2061.
