Hi Guys,

When i bought my car it has Bus nav , an a year ago i retrofit nav pro to add tv , thus the DVD map i had was for bus nav and did not work in nav pro, i did not bother to buy a road map for nav pro as , in Mauritius we do not have nav.

recently i upgraded the CIP , and tought that its time to get a nav pro map , just to try. the first time i inserted it in the slot , i got a map and even select a street on it , it works fine. Now when retry again it say guidance not available after selecting a road.

Any idea why it say no giuidance?

Perhaps the road you selected isn?t completely digitized on the DVD. At least here some small roads can be seen on the map and can be selected as destination but house numbers are missing, so guidance is not possible to exact house number destination? Just my 2 cents.

A separate question I know but what did you have to do to upgrade from business to pro nav?

 

Change the CCC , there a retrofit kit from bus nav to nav pro

 

What is difference between Pro and business Nav? How do I know what I have in my 08 550 sport.

 

from where did you get the retrofit and at what price? is this kit available at BMW dealer?
