Hello guys and gals I'm thinking about buying a 335i in black exterior with natural brown dakota leather interior/bamboo trim. On the bmw website, it looks like the ceiling is grey...is it mandatory the interior is two tone like that? Is it possible to get the whole interior in black and just have the brown seats?
Also, I've read the brown is pretty easy to maintain. That's good, but it sounds unbelievable. How easy is the upkeep? Does it require weekly or monthly cleaning? I am not at all against leatherette because I'm generally lazy and don't want to always have to be cleaning the interior seats. I don't have kids but that is not to say it won't happen during the life of the car.
Thanks.

I read in another thread it's a Priority 1 upgrade? What's up with that?

The seats are easy to keep clean. I wipe them out with a damp cloth every few weeks. I've not had to do anything more aggressive than that. My last BMW had black leather, and I've noticed no real difference in maintenance.
EDIT: The anthracite headliner is a priority one option, and is not listed in the brochure. You can get it if you custom order the car.

Sorry guys I think I've found my answer, the anthracite headliner is available just have to pay for it.
Once I get up the nerve that is what I'm going to get, 535i black/brown leather seats with anthracite headliner.
I bought my first car when I was 16, $2000 Thunderbird from my uncle, paid half for my second, this will be my first major purchase, kinda nervous about it.

The roof is grey, unless you pop for the anthracite (black) headliner option. I would recommend it with this interior combination. The grey liner looks wrong in this combination.
