N54 Engine Issues

Thinking about updating my 2006 but what about the N54 engine issues? What's the consensus on the N54 and the HPFP problems? I was thinking of waiting till next year and pick up a CPO F10 but I'm not really crazy about that body style. But, all the 2008-2010 E60 535i's have the N54 engine.
What to do?

I have 2 relatively new N54's, a 2010 E60 and a 2011 Z4 35i. Combined only 15K, but no problems so far. My last 5vr was a 540 and my last Z coupe had the 3.0. With the peace of mind the warranties bring, the N54 is the only way to go. These engines deliver tons of joy and IMO well worth the risk.
