Im not gonna touch the seals... i was just frustrated.. i went back to ask them to break down the hours and work for me and they quoted me 8 hours for the valve cover, and another 6 hours to replace the rear turbo vacuum line.. i told them to take a hike.. i can do the valve cover fast... and the vacuum line..
i havent got a boost code from my boost leak, i've been trying hunt down the leak slowly, BMS beleives its a boost leak or hardware issue. It' has trouble boosting past 16psi. it never used to, so i imagine its a simple leak and since there's quite a bit of oil leaking from the intercooler, i'm going to invest in new seals for the intercooler and an oil catch can.
i wonder if there's a way for me to drain out the oil from the intercooler...

What are the thoughts on changing the belt? My e61 is also at 100,000. I have had it since new. Changed the water pump, trans oil and hoses. Also had the walnut treatment and front struts. Was wondering if it time to change the coolant tank?
The car still drives like new. Actually think about a new car but this car is still nice.

The N54 can eat a belt when it break, messing up the timing and something destroying the engine. A belt service (tensioner and pulleys) kit is cheap insurance. The pulleys where worn on my 135i at 100,000.
Also make sure the oil cooler does not leak, as it usually drip on the belt. The replacement gasket is like 10$ online

I'd personally do the belt, tensioner arm and pulley, and idler pulleys. The water pump is a good thing to replace at 100K, mine only lasted 60K. Change all fluids. ALso may want to look not coolant expansion tank. When they go isn't pretty and can cause a good mess. The O-rings on the intercooler piping/charge pipe is a crap design. They do need to be replaced periodically.
