Default Mystery Wire in Front Bumper

Two days ago i saw this wire hanging down from my bumper. Can anybody help me identify where it connects to.

Could it be for the temperature sensor? Are you getting temp. reading?

I'm getting -40 F. This is located on the drivers side I thought the temperature sensor was on the passenger's side.

Edit: Turns out it is for the ambient temp. sensor

Yes, thats definitely looks like a temp sensor cable. replace the sensor and your reading should be back to normal. Your more than likely getting a "check engine light" aswell due to this.
