mystery part, anyone identify it?

these two identical parts are mounted to the bumper carrier, and they are on both sides of the carrier.

I tried to run the nubmers off the part, but i come up with nothing.

They are airbag sensors and also "black boxes", ie they register crashes, compare to FDR.

Accelerating Sensor. Its something to do with the Airbag system.

ah, makes the carrier replacement a bit more precarious than i anticipated. im guessing simply disconnecting the battery is the safest way to do this. they are only bolted to the carrier...im guessing a crash hard enough will trip the sensors into activating the sensors...mine hit wasnt that hard, so im thinking the sensors didnt register enough impact. thanks God.
