Hello, I just heard that the TPMS is different starting from MY2010. Does that mean I cannot use the TPMS from E60 prior to 2010?

I have an April 2009 build of the MY2010. MY2010 started in March of 09. I suppose it is possible things changed since then, but mine is the same as before. I bought a set of used wheels with TPMS already installed and a set of winter wheels where I bought BERU TPMS. Both work perfectly.
