excuse me if my comment is not accurate, but what about the new 520i engine?
I wasn't aware of a 520i for MY2008. I thought the 2008 523i replaced the 2007 520i model. I pulled my information from bmw.co.uk which lists all engines available from bmw and they don't have a 520i for MY2008. Am I missing something?

2008 528xi LCI USA - How's this?
Hey,

It's a good pic but I need one without the date stamp or anything else on it. Sorry to be picky!

haha, no problem. Took another, fixed, and re-edited my post about 3 back. Let me know what you think. Lighting was getting a little low here at this time of day so I tweaked the image a little.

Hrmm yeah, it looks a bit dark. Whenever you can take one during the nice day time would be perfect -- no rush at all. Thanks!

Yes you are.. Don't think BMW UK is the best place to pull euro info from since they aren't importing all models. Here are som screenshots from BMW Germany.

Great ipp,

Love the 149 g/km for CO2 emissions for the 520dA

Yes www.bmw.de is of course the best resource but they do not have the engine codes there.

After asking, I today received interesting info from BMW Group Finland.

BMW E60 European engine codes for new the LCI L6 engines are:

523i N52B25, starting from 03/07 N53B25U0 (U - null)
525i N52B25, starting from 03/07 N53B30U0 (U - null)
530i N52B30, starting from 03/07 N53B30O0 (O - null)

Note that the 0 (nulls) and O's and U's vary!

For the 520d engine code has changed with the new MY ?08 in September

520d M47D20, starting from 09/07 N47D20O0 (O - null)

____________________________________

This from not official BMW sourses:

The 520i MY '08 engine is a N43B20O0 (0 -null)

A bit old info but from there the diesel codes can also be found.

I will eventually -- I hope to get to the interior section by the end of this month. I've got way too much other more pressing stuff to do before then. I got stuck with jury duty this week. I went on Monday and got assigned to a case so it's been all week.. I'll post a message about the interior in a bit!

So, there is infact a 520i! Does anyone have this model and can take a picture of the engine for me?

Will soon get the correct and up-to-date engine codes from the BMW Group.

Here's the e-mail I got today:

Dear Mr (Ricracing),

Thank you for your e-mail.

We have forwarded your request to the relevant department for assessment.

Kind Regards,
