Since MY07 started with March 2006 production will MY08 start in March 2007 or September 2007 production?

Hmmm...MY06 started with September 2005 production so 06 550i's were only out for about 6 months. Then low and behold the 07's come out making the 06's lose their value.

I just wanna know when my old battleship will take another hit in depreciation this coming Sept. or next March!

From what I've read elsewhere on this board, MY06 came out in March, not in September, so there actually was a full year of life in that model year. Sounds like the MY05 buyers are the ones that got screwed...

Personally, I think it's understandable that BMW would want to stagger the release dates of their lineup throughout the calendar year. Having the 3s, 5s, 6s, and 7s all get updated in the same two-month window is probably not ideal from a sales/marketing perspective.

Question

I wouldn't put it past BMW to do an E60 facelift for the MY08 or MY09 model year.

BMW MY starts in September, so the facelift E60 will be intruduced in September 2007,
four years after introducion (summer of '03).

The US MY starts in March, but this is only do the your local marketing habbits.

PS. Christmas is not in June either, but the 4th of July will stay put
Sorry if I offended anyone.

So how do you explain the 2000MY E39's that started in August 1999? Or the 2000MY E36/7's that started in May 1999? Yet the US built Toyota my wife drives started 2005 production in October 2004. Sounds like this mid year thing is more tied to EU marketing habbits
