Safelite is a great glass installer. They guarantee their work and parts. So if the HUD became an issue later, then they would fix it again for free. Its their problem not yours. GL Mel. Easy on the kid, he is doing what he is proposed to do to his parents. Testing them on every boundary!

windshield is done.. they did it in my driveway. apparantly never gave me the appt. (thats what joes saying) cause he called me and asked where i was and told me to go home they were waiting in my driveway..lol.. took about 40 min i would say. nice guy. i watched the whole thing. pretty amazing and the windshield didnt feel as heavy as i thought. it is oem, ordered from the dealer. all sensors went back on and stickers too..even the Heavy Hitters one from Macfly

UPDATE.. spoke to BMW. s/a said he would "recommend" oem glass.. he has seen the sensors in the past not work correctly, not all the time, but sometimes. i also called geico, they said oem from the dealer is 1500$. they will cover 600$ toward it, (BMW wanrs 2100$ to fix glass) they can scratch..lol..still no detuctible though. joe said "fuc* that" im putting in replacement glass! lol.. i want wheels anyway.. paying for OEM would have delayed that and id have to argue with him even more then i do now. so replacement it is.. and yes i also found out that i have both rain AND condensation sensors thanks for the heads up in the pm's!

I see you have a HUD in your car. You definately need a special windshield.
