When I set the temp control (on my brend new E60) to the lowest and press the ac button, I get cool but not really chilled air. Am I missing something?

The gasoline standard AC version chills a Koskenkorva Vodka bottle very fast.
But it actually do not give ice frost it the very moment you start it, after a nights
stand or so.
The heather/cooler takes while before it gives ultimate.
I use in my car the non automatic settings for faster defrost/cooling/ heating.

That makes it pretty cold in mine.
BTW is it warm anywhere in the UK yet?

Have you tried jabbing the "Max" button. Or is that only on AC "with extended range of features"?

It needs "good old adjustionment" but as I wrote earlier,
one doesn't need more than common thinking to manage it.

as said previously, the system takes time to cool. Have you tried various settings with auto mode off?
My system seems more like a sauna for the first minute when the weather is warm, blowing moist hot air Then it gets going and cools well when set to 18 celcius

The few warm days we had recently, I felt that the aircon wasn't working. Interestingly, I reset the iDrive, and the aircon got cold. But then a week later, the same thing.
I'm used to aircon being quite cold, when set to minimum temp. Next service I wil be asking "is this right".
