so bmw says my tranny is shot and wants $7,000 for new one. found a tranny out of a 128i with low miles for about 5% of what bmw wants new. is the 6hp19z in the 128's the same as the 535i's? thanks in advance.

thanks. i have read quite a bit on solenoid replacement and what not. reason i am asking is i can get this tranny for less than the parts for the solenoid job and figure may as well buy it. that way if new solenoids dont fix it and is the stator bushing or something something else inside i have a good tranny to put in. just need to make sure they are the same tranny.
