Go find a big open parking lot on the first snow and have him drive around it, nail the brakes, etc. There shouldn't be sliding around, etc but he'll get the feel of how the car deals with low traction situations.

Lucky guy! My parents got me a Celica after I graduated High School. My family are big Lexus and Toyota fans and I used to be. I am so into BMW's and will pass on the "addiction" to my children. Haha.

Hey Lee...great purchase and congrats on the addition to the BMW family Your son should be fine but like someone else stated a big parking lot when snow falls and toss her around a bit to get a feel of how she reacts. That way he won't be suprised.

I still remember driving my 535 home this summer as a 19th birthday present. Would just sit in the car and play around with the stuff while it was still off, waiting for those damn insurance papers to come in.

Wow, you can still remember all the way back to this summer! Impressive
