Hi,

I have a 2006 525ix.

Voice recognition works, CD, radio is all OK.

Just the screen stays dark. Once after getting into the car and pressing the i-Drive dial the screen came on for about ten seconds but then went black again.

Any ideas?

I hate to waste another day at the dealer if I don't have to.

Try resetting the iDrive. MUTE + DVD EJECT + CD EJECT, I think. Hold them simultaneously.
