Gentlemen , I wanted to share with the community I got my new e60 over the weekend , 2009 535xi ,alpine white ,with cream interior. I was a silver driving a 2006 750i for 4 years that I guess I was lucky with as I had no issues with it other than normal maintenance and one coolant hose needing to be replaced and that was it . I was offered a price I couldn’t pass up and I sold it now I’m in the e60 and I must say I do enjoy it very classy looking and fast as hell I actually got a $175 dollar ticket from PA back to MD the day I got it .. only thing that as slightly irritating is the constant noise from the navi dvd constantly going ,in my 7 the dvd was in the trunk so i never heard it , reminds me of my old Sony Diskman back in 1993 trying to play a scratched cd. I really enjoy keeping my cars in the best operating condition aside from having the intake valves walnut blasted to remove carbon buildup and the hpfp that was already replaced on this one what other “treatments” so to speak do you do you other owners keep your e60 healthy and in tip top shape?..e any and all insight is appreciated I also plan on putting some m style wheels on this as soon as the winter is over I would like that deep dish look any examples of what you have are also welcomed , thanks again

Depending on the mileage, cooling issues can come up. I just did the thermostat, coolant temp sensor/o-ring, and lower coolant hose replacement on my 06 550i with 85k on it.

 

Nice ride, I have the same model as well. Love it. Mine is black on black.

 

Congrats on your new ride, sad to hear you had the ticket though. Remember the XI wheels are different so make sure you make the right choices for the wheels.
