on a serious note though.. how can they steal our cars? i mean i know what it was like old school.. chopped columns and shit.. ive started cars with forks.. but seriously how do they do it to a bmw?? doesnt the alarm have some sort of kill switch that wont let the engine start?? something high tech along those lines? i dont get it.. it "sleep's" but can be stolen?
Even if it was towed the motion sensors would have picked it up...

This is nuts. I cannot believe e60s can be stolen. They arent hondas. These people must be pros. I really hope the cops catch them...and then set them on fire. Good luck with everything.

Seen the movie "Gone in 60 sec". Nothing is 100% thief proof, any cars can be stolen. Even the expensive ones.

Real sorry dude. That really blows. Any chance you brought it for service and a hoodlum maybe made a copy of your key? Assuming your alam was working right, maybe someone had an "in"??? I'll keep my eyes open in LI...

My first post..
Been soaking up all the knowledge on this board, before I switch up and get an E60 (my dream car.). I just had to post.

Sorry to hear about your car and I really hope it is found, not only found, but the guys that did it should be caught also. You don't just walk in and take away something someone has worked hard for.... Never had my car stolen, but I have had it broken into and ripped. I know how that felt. Cant imagine how this would feel...

Good luck and I pray they find the car and the slimeballs that took it

Wow! Sorry Joe. I've also been taking for granted that these type of things don't happen anymore and our cars are tougher to break in and steal but apparently not. Hope you find it soon without any harm.

+1...
