My Ride: 2005 BMW 545I SMG, Black Sapphire Metallic, Anthracite Maple Wood Trim, Cold Weather Pkg, Logic 7 Pkg, Sport Pkg, BMW Nav Pkg, HUD Pkg, Gargo Liner.
I was playing with some settings in i-drive and check control message and notice this
Increased emission! please bring your car to a bmw center??? anyone know what this is???

My Ride: 530i, Silver Grey, Black Dakota, Steptronic, Premium, PDC, Logic7
Is the car warning you about increased emissions or is that just in the error log. It could be your gas cap was not on properly or you overfilled the tank. Others have had that message for thess reasons.

Maybe give it a couple more days then you might have to take it in if the error hasn't cleared.

I had this once and the light never went off. Stopped by my service dept. one Saturday, and they read the code as a gas cap issue, reset it and no problems since

Many have experienced this issue. For some it has been associated with recent gas fill-up, for others like myself, it was idiosyncratic.
You will have to take the car in to have the warning reset. In my case there was nothing demonstrably wrong after systems systmes check.

I had mine fixed at the dealer a couple of months age, but mine warning never came on, I beleive it was a recall. I actually had a recall for the emissions or was it something else. But anyways I think it was for emission. You can actually call your service department and ask if their is a recall for your particular problem.
