I just did the same exact thing on my 535i. Except my car is Black Sapphire. I'm assuming you got your grille from BMW Performance as well. It gives the car a much more sinister and sporty look with the shadowline trim.

ahhhhh... yep i got shadowline. debating about getting that blackout headlight mod. i think it looks sick and would set off the black rim and the front end of the car. also considering black wheels...

Welcome. Personally, I only think the black grills look good on light color cars (for contrast) or on full blackouts. Otherwise, the chrome accent looks very classy against dark finishes.
