Just bought myself my first bimmer, an 06' 525i. I found this forum and thought I should join up, seems like there are a lot of nice helpful people here. I just have a couple of questions about the car if someone could help me out.

It is telling me the front left parking lamp is malfunctioning, where can I find a cheap bulb, and how do I replace it myself???

Also, there is a slight gas smell in the cabin on start-up sometimes, the smell is most noticeable when the car is in a garage, anyone have any ideas what this would be caused by??

Thanks

Congrats and welcome to the forum. The parking lamp is not an issue. However the gas smell could be. Take the car to the dealer. They might have to rip out the rear and gain access to the tank and its hoses. There are purge valves that are known to go bad. As is in my case!!
Take care of it right away. Is your SERVICE ENGINE SOON light on?

No service lights are on, and there is no noticeable leak either.
