Nice looking car. Congrats on it. You'll never be bored in it.

As others have stated go get an aftermarket warranty of some kind. Do some research on here and you'll find some good ones with good prices. These cars can be great with little to no issues or can be the flip side and turn into the car from hell. You should get the service history of this car checked out when at the dealer. Make sure you didn't just buy yourself a shop whore.

Everything may seem fine. But the OP noted he purchased the e60 from a used care lot, non bmw dealership. So it would be wise to be able to pull the service history, run a diagnostic, etc...overall peace of mind...maybe the e60 has a few open campaigns it is eligible for....never hurts to get it initially cleared by an authorized bmw service tech/department.....

Even I have a 545i bought last month. Still Under warrenty

Took it to BMW Seattle and they said everything is fine and replaced with a brand new battery.

Questions -
1. I am not sure if there is open campaign for software update. How do I know If i need any software update? Dealer ship did not told me anything about this.

2. This is Manual transmission (6 speed and hope software update will not affect the shifting as mentioned in the previous thread.

AND LAST VERY IMPORTANT -

3. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE ON AFTERMARKET WARRANTY.

Thanks
