my door making noisee..

hey guys,

my door is making noise.. is that normal? the noise is the rubbing with each other..

i dont know how to explain it..

anyone have this problem?

It's a known issue with the door seal.

BMW sell a specific product to deal with this problem. It's called 'Gummi-Fledge' and costs about $10.

It's basically a rubber conditioner that you spray onto the door seals. It's usually done as a mater or course when the car is serviced.

BMW told me to clean seals with household vinegar, then spray on Gummi-Fledge, that curred it for good.

I tried the lubricants and sprays on the seals and it did not last long. In the end the dealer added teflon tape around the door frame and the noise is gone. there is a TSB out for it, as it was covered by the warranty

so which one is the best solution?
i dont want to take my car to BMW, because my car is modified and im just scared BMW will take away all the warranty.

In HK the vaseline last about 8 months
did you only put very little on.
I almost used about 30% of the pot on all 4 doors.

vaseline it cheaper and last up to 8 months in hot weather
