Some of you regulars know that I had been waiting the new E60 since early this year. I did a lot of research on this car, and posted quite a bit here. I really looked forward to it. At the end of September, I finally saw it in person. And then I drove in earlier this month. I think the car drove great with Active Steering and Roll Control. It was amazing that you can drive around the parking lot doing 90 degree turns without taking your hands off the wheel. In my opinion, I felt that the E60 looks great from a distance, not as good when close up. The interior is a bit on the simple side, not as luxurious as I had hoped.

I debated with myself for a long time. In addition to what I think of the car, I would have to wait until March or April 2004 to get NAV and HUD, and may be SMG, Which by themselves are something I would wait for. Anyhow, during the debate, I found myself really longing for an M3. After talking to my SO for a *long* time, we decided to get an M3 for myself, and get a E60 Touring for my wife in a couple of years, when we get rid of our van. My M3 should be here in early November. I am glad I stayed with BMW.

I thought I would let you know why I have not been very active here on the board. Thank you Das for running this forum. It has been very helpful. I am sure I will be back here soon to find out more about the E60 Touring.

Good luck to you all with your E60 purchase.
