Howitzer,

Are you changing the shocks as well or staying with stock? I'm waiting for my 166 (M6 offset) rims and as soon as I get them, I'll be getting my car lowered as well.

What kind of H&R you going with?
No, the H&R sport spring kit is made to work with the stock shocks. Also, I hear that set won't destroy your ride quality at all.

Dunno about the tint. I don't want the car to look like a drug-dealer-mobile. Plus, I'm in Illinois, illegal to have driver/passenger side tints which sucks. I might do 70% all around which is so slight you won't notice it during the day, at least cops might not....

You're in Illinois and you don't have a front plate? If there isn't a law that requires me to leave the front plate on, I'm taking it off with an axe. Very carefully, though.

Just got the new set of M166 last night. Next is the H&R spring kit, painting the calipers red, shadowline trim, and trunk finisher. =)

Hope you like the pics. (Work in progress) Thanks to all of you guys that helped and a BIG thanks to Garry at Newport BMW for the rims.

Man congrats. on your 166s, they are cool looking, and you will enjoy them!! Speaking of cool looking, I do not think I have seen was Black BMW or a show car, etc ever shine as much as yours does? What kind of wax did you use on it? Did you use a Polisher? How many coats of wax in on it?

Thanks in Advance!!

Great ride. Looking at her gives me good reason not to get the M-tech kit. I maybe in the minority who thinks original body trim is simply great.
Keep her immaculately polished . I know its a lot of work but it is exercise for this old man (and yeah, you can hire someone to do it too).

I still have the 124s on my car. Love the 166s... How hard are they to clean? Also, how did you paint your calipers? DIY or paid someone to do it?
