What originally happened with your tires? Did they become noisy and seem to not handle right.

I have the original dunlop RF's with about 8000 miles on them and they are now very noisy. The car also seems to want to pull to the left at times. I think it is tire related.

They just became noisy. Take the car to the dealer sooner than later and tell them you want a new set.

I just found another welcome BT enhancement in CIP 16.1. When requesting to dial a name, if you change your mind or it recognizes the wrong number, it goes like this:

Would you like to dial Home?
NO
Would you like to dial another number?
YES
Please say the name

Great new feature IMO

Rudy, maybe with the CPT9000, but definately not with BT and CIP13.3. After saying NO, nothing would happen. Now it asks if I want another number.

I may be wrong...I'll try to remember to test this tomorrow. I'm thinking now that you might be right. I'd think that the CPT-9000 and the BT telephone voice command would be the same -- why would they go to the trouble of having more than one version?

Hormazd, you were right. My 13.3 car does not give me the chance to say another name. If I say "No," the system replies with "Voice entry ended" and you have to start over again.

It looks like the new 16.x software has a nice little improvement -- I wonder how many more of these little things are out there?...

Here is another one. I already mentioned that parked car ventilation can now be set in 12hr clock. Well here in sunny California, even on the most beautiful day the car heats up so I use this option quite frequently . Voice command now makes activation a cinch.

Parked Car Ventilation
BEEP
Set Time one
Please say the time
One thirty
Did you say one thirty
Yes
Select am or pm
PM
Would you like to activate Time one
Sure.

I cannot be certain but it seems that voice recognition is greatly improved. Bluetooth commands, entertainment commands and commands like the ones above just work first time. My 5 year old can select "CD 5 track 11" from the back seat. The system is just working great.

I still have to test the ring limit on the phone. In the few calls I have made and received, I have had no complaints about voice quality and the sound is far clearer than before at my end.

I-drive boot up is still 10 secs after deep sleep, but instant on within the first two stages of sleep.

I have noticed a new bug. The CD/Radio now thankfully saves its setting when the car was switched off. I am sure however that the CD keeps spinning for about 5 mnutes. I have returned to a CD often to find it a track or two ahead of where I was last listening.

Oh and did I already mention that the auto headlights are now perfect. No more driving in sunshine with them on.

How much of a wear does the parked car ventilation have on the battery? Once it comes on, how long does it run?

I think it runs for 15 minutes or so. You can set two activation times. I sometimes set these around the time I think I will return to the car and again just incase I am late. I don't think its much of a drain on the battery as it is fan only, no heat or cooling.

Did that happen in the changer or the dash?
