I was hit by someone that switch lanes onto mine...It seemed like she scraped my left side door panels...about two inches wide. Paint completely damaged on a 3 inch section of the door are (door sill) when I pass my finger on the scrape I removed the white paint. My car is silver hers is green. (work in same place...nights) So here I am at work thinking how much damaged does my car have. It also has a long thin line runing the lenght of both doors, this one seems to be a little deeper. Also a couple of areas on the real wheel fender where paint was remove. About a quarter inch on each.

Anyone has any body shop recommendations in the San Fernando Valley or West Los Angeles?

She claims she didn't see my lights...my car has Bi-Xenon so I don't get how she couldn't see it.

Are those surely not questions and concerns that her insurance company should be worrying about, not you?

If you want to sort it without insurance companies and in an amicable manner, the get some quotes to get it fixed professionally and she can decide which one she pays for.

Good luck getting this sorted with minimum hassle...

I can already tell it won't be amicable! Any recommendations for auto body shops?

Use the Center BMW body shop or I'm a regular at Marcos Auto Body in Pasadena...on North Fair Oaks...they're very professional, very expensive (so I hope her insurance is paying for it!)

Well, when you remove the white paint on my car i can hardly notice or feel the scratch. This was done by the thin plastic siding that the 90 Mercedes 300 E has. The deeper was cause by the lower plastic panel. It sounded really bad because the paneling eventually hit the gap between my doors...

Such a pain really!!!

i recommend marco's auto body too, but i'm a regular at San gabriel, it's on las tunas drive, either one is fine they have a few. My last car had quite a few accidents and i took it there numbers of times they treated me really nice and the work is great. 626 309-9100 here's their number, good luck with your choice and use the insurance it's better.

Well, I just came back from Marcos and their estimate is a little less than $2000.

I am not that familiar with how insurance works over there but here I really don't have to care how much it costs.
If car gets damaged by someone --> drop it off at my BMW dealer. Pick it up two days later.
Financial issues are handled between the dealer and insurance company. I don't even get to know the amount.
