Sorry to hear of your loss, but of course the car did what it was supposed to, the same as my old 530xiT did on 12/31/08.
It will be interesting to hear what your insurer's say, but given the age of your car it may be a total loss. It's good to hear the other driver had insurance - mine did not. Boy that was a mess - at least we had no-fault back-up coverage.
The next few months may not be fun - but you will survive it. Good luck!

It was in Essex mate, M25 J30/31 roundabout, i was just going to Sytner harold wood to have the battery check as it was dying. Never got there....

BLooD! Im very sorry to hear about this, its never good when you see an accident let alone be in one... glad to hear your ok, hope all the insurance / finances get sorted out so you can get another one...
