Yikes, glad that you hit the rails from the side like that.
I've read in the past that those rails actually kill more lives than they save, as they slice right into the car like butter... and you can imagine the rest.
Glad you're okay.

So glad to see you're ok buddy,I know you loved your E60 and it seem's it did you as you walked away from that terrible accident, look's like a write off to me,just a shame as you had done quite a bit of work on it like myself, but never mind there's alway's a chance to get a better spec one and mod that to your taste!

Right that does it, I'm not posting pics of my car here after cleaning it. It was only a couple of days ago you did that, right?
Glad you came out of it ok. Hope the insurance works out for you to your liking.

I especially feel your pain. My previous posts concerning my own accident mirror yours. I was hit hard in the rear left and was sent spinning out of my lane across two others when I caught up to a small SUV going the same direction. The ensuing crash stopped me from hitting the guard rail as you did. Unfortunately, I would guesstimate your damage and car age will indicate a writeoff. My two crashes occured only on the entire left side and the interior was untouched: damage: $14,125 CDN
The good news? You appear to be unscathed. My wife and I were totally unhurt as well. These cars are truly great. Get another one!
